The Accelerated Math students were the first class to visit MakerSpace at the main branch of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. The 29 5th-, 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-graders spent the day creating and learning how to use the high-tech MakerSpace equipment. Students each designed their own buttons, and teams lent their voices to record various songs in the sound booth. The green screen and photo software were employed to make posters of the group at the Sphinx and the Great Wall of China. The most popular attractions were the 3-D printers, where students used their mathematical conversion and scaling skills to produce various objects, from sharks to the Starship Enterprise.
