Second grader took a field trip on Tuesday, March 11th to Laboiteaux Woods in College Hill. They learned about things that can be recycled, how to take care of our earth and preserve our forests, what composting is, and about the water cycle. The students played games, explored the nature center, and went on a hike down into a gully to observe nature. On the hike, each student got to walk through a hollowed-out "wishing" tree and make a wish. They even got to eat lunch outside because the weather was 70 degrees! It was a perfectly beautiful day!
